Title:Intrinsic Geometry of Collider Observations and Forman Ricci Curvature
View PDF HTML (experimental)Abstract:We study the persistent homology and combinatorial Forman Ricci curvature distributions of a multi-lepton pattern reconstructed at the detectors. The topological properties exhibit an almost constant scaling behaviour with integrated luminosity and event selection parameters. This exploratory study suggests that the higher-order geometric features could supplement the traditional cut-and-count analyses, differentiating the BSM signals from the SM background.
